A Warrior's Valor
Here at A Warrior's Valor, we implore our members to have high ranking characters. However, since High Rank’s have such a vital role in roleplay and functionality of the site there are some rules and regulations in place for those who wish to play them. Members with higher ranked character’s will be held to higher expectations and staff will be less lenient about sudden inactivity. If you do not think you can uphold these expectations then please do not apply for high rank positions.
01. BE ACTIVE
A rather obvious rule when roleplaying such a powerful character. Leaders, deputies, and medicine cats are very important to the structure of roleplay and should you suddenly go inactive while maintaining an hp it could jeopardize the functionality of the site. Please warn a member of the staff team if you plan on leaving for more than 3 days!
02. AUDITION FOR THE POSITION
Here at A Warrior's Valor we don't freely give out high ranking positions. The first come first serve policy doesn't apply here. Anybody who is interested in a high ranking position is allowed and encouraged to audition for the position. However, keep in mind that this doesn't mean you’ll get the position! Depending on the auditions and how much attention they get effects how long they last.
03. FREQUENT ROLEPLAYER
Despite auditioning for the role you applied for, your activity and frequency in posting around the forum will heavily affect whether or not you get the role you applied for. We encourage all our members interested in hp’s to post around frequently. A leader, for example, has to be involved in the Clan’s everyday life!
04. SKILL AND TALENT
It's not just activity that is the deciding factor for obtaining an hp. The skill and talent a member shows throughout roleplaying is another impacting factor. We expect members with HP’s to have a clear understanding of grammar and punctuation and to write fluently and clearly.
LEADER EXPECTATIONS
- Leader’s are expected to be active and post frequently around their clan. Interacting with clan-mates is also an expectation, though not as heavily pushed.
Leader’s are expected to conducted ceremonies. This means clan meeting’s that concern informing the clan about troubled times, a possible war with a neighboring clan, apprenticeship/warrior ceremonies, and other leader-ly duties.- Leader’s are expected to enforce punishments on rule-breakers and construct their moral policies on their clan mates.
- Leaders must be active in personal and clan plots that they are involved in.
- Leader’s are also held responsible for maintaining and coordinating other outside clan relationships with neighboring clans.
DEPUTY EXPECTATIONS
- Deputies are expected to post patrols (hunting and border patrols) once a month.
- While leaders are away, sick/injured, or nursing deputies are expected to step up and act as “leader in command” until their leader is well enough to resume their duties.
- Deputies are expected to oversee apprentice training and apprentice assessments before their warrior ceremonies.
- Deputies are expected to be active in clan policies and politics. They are also expected to be active and participating in clan and personal plots.
MEDICINE CAT EXPECTATIONS
- Medicine Cat’s are expected to create a thread every month with them “restocking” their herb supply with either their apprentice or another warrior.
- Every so often Medicine Cat’s will receive a vision/dream from Starclan (staff) that they get to interpret however they want.
- Every half-moon Medicine Cat’s and their apprentice’s if they have one are expected to attend their monthly Medicine Cat gathering at the Moonstone.
- Medicine Cat’s aren’t held to the same standards as their fellow clan-mates and thus it’s encouraged for them to have a strong relationship with other Medicine Cats.
- Medicine Cat’s are forbidden from taking on a mate and having kits as all their attention and energy should be directed towards the clan.
- A Medicine Cat should only take on an apprentice when they feel ready to mentor or are getting old.
